English Speaking Club Villajoyosa

San Juan and District English Speaking Club Los Perales, Camino Real de Villajoyosa, 22, El Campello. Tel. 96-565-21-14. Founded in 1971 with our own premises and an active membership of 420 comprising six different nationalities, all English speaking. Members and friends meet every Wednesday and Sunday from 12.00 to 14.30 pm. Petanca is played on our specially prepared courts. The club is run entirely by volunteers, and as a result our bar prices and activities cannot be equalled anywhere. Patchwork /Quilting Monday 9.30 am – 12.30 pm, Art Class – Thursday 11.00 am – 14.00pm Linedancing Thursday 14.30 – 17.00, Whist Thursday 19.00 for 19.30 start. Quiz night – The last Friday in the month 19.30 for 20.00 start, We run a monthly dinner dance with live music and Summer BBQ’s in the garden. Special arrangements made for the local Santa Faz Lodge, the Alicante Branch of the Royal British Legion and the Anglican Church of Campello. There are organised trips to various Spanish destinations as well as several local day trips by coach. Come and join the fun.

Critical Mass Bike Ride Dénia (Alicante)

Meet every first Saturday of the month in the Glorieta at the end of the Marqués de Campo furthest from the port, and be part of an international movement of bicycle users who meet every month to enjoy a ride together around their own town or city. The aim is to encourage others to take to their bikes and to draw attention to the needs of cyclists. It is not a demonstration or affiliated to any political party but is open to all, young and old.
