The Krabi
Resort Hotel
By Mike & Chris Smith |
We
booked the hotel for two weeks using the on line booking
company www.hotels2thailand.com. Using the on line chat
I was able to make an instant reservation at a rate about
20% less than the hotel's published price.
We had a deluxe bungalow and it was quite nice, everything
was provided and although the housekeeping could have
been better (we had one day without towels). Some people
complained there were mosquitoes in the rooms but we did
not experience this. The resort is quite large with lots
of trees and gardens, its right on the beach which it
has to be said is not the best beach in the world but
never the less its quite nice when the tide is out.
The pool area is very nice also, plenty of sun beds and
free issue of bathing towels as many as you want whenever
you want.
I think it is probably the best hotel on this beach, it
is the only one with direct access. The breakfast was
pretty basic, the fried eggs never looked very exciting,
but the omlettes, bacon etc. were adequate. Tea and coffee
was generally pretty awful often cold and usually very
strong - it was hard to tell the difference sometimes.
We booked for two weeks but after a week I was bored and
wished we had split the holiday with a week on Pi Pi Island
or some other location.
